FlowOx™
The FlowOx™ System is intended to be used for the treatment of conditions and diseases of the foot, ankle and lower leg that are associated with impaired blood flow. It enhances peripheral blood flow by application of negative pressure pulses to the treated area. It is intended to be used in both a professional and home care environment.
People living with Multiple Sclerosis (pwMS) often experience lower‑limb symptoms such as spasticity, discomfort, reduced mobility, and impaired circulation. These symptoms can affect daily function, sleep, and overall wellbeing. FlowOx™ may be used as a home‑based supportive therapy to help manage lower‑leg symptoms associated with impaired blood flow.
FlowOx™ delivers intermittent negative pressure (INP) to the lower limbs, producing rapid fluctuations in arterial and microcirculatory blood flow. This gentle, non‑invasive mechanism supports lower‑limb comfort and circulation in everyday home use.

FlowOx™ is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions in adults 18+ years
-
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
-
Diabetic and non-diabetic arthropathic foot and leg ulcers.
-
Intermittent claudication & rest pain
-
Foot and lower‑leg ulcers of mixed aetiology and/or pain/spasticity or discomfort associated with immobility such as paraplegia following spinal cord injury or other neurodegenerative diseases such as (MS) Multiple Sclerosis.
How FlowOx works
-
A lightweight pressure chamber seals around the lower leg:- to be used when seated.
-
Alternating cycles: 10 sec at -40mmHg negative pressure; then 7 sec at ambient pressure.
-
Designed for home use -no clinical supervision required during treatment sessions.
The Veno arteriolar Reflex
-
Intermitted Negative Pressure at -40mmHg produces significant increases in macro and microcirculatory blood flow.
-
Rapid arterial flow is followed by venous filling and activation of the Veno arteriolar reflex.
-
This activates afferent sensory signals that may modulate spinal motor neuron activity and reduce stretch reflex excitability.
FlowOx™ advantages
-
Non-invasive, safe and easy to use
-
Suitable for home use
-
Can be used in addition to surgical intervention or where surgery is contraindicated
-
May be used on limbs with existing wounds if they are bandaged.

Early patient data suggests that FlowOx™ may have a role in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) symptoms management.
People living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) often experience lower‑limb symptoms that affect comfort, mobility, and daily independence. Heal‑Med Solutions is committed to improving access to practical, home‑based technologies that support symptom self‑management and enhance quality of life. FlowOx™ offers a non‑invasive option designed to help individuals manage lower‑leg discomfort associated with impaired circulation. Early patient data suggests that FlowOx™ may also play a supportive role in MS symptom management, providing an additional pathway for people seeking reliable, easy‑to‑use solutions at home.
FlowOx™: A practical, evidence‑supported option for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) symptom relief
FlowOx™ is designed to deliver gentle, intermittent pressure therapy to the lower legs. Used for just one hour per day, FlowOx™ supports circulation, neuromuscular relaxation, and symptom reduction-all from home.
Clinical trials and real‑world data demonstrate meaningful improvements for people living with MS, including:
-
Reduced spasticity
-
Fewer night‑time spasms
-
Improved sleep quality
-
Less daytime fatigue
-
Better comfort and mobility
-
Enhanced independence through daily self‑management
FlowOx™ is now TGA approved for pwMS use and is being adopted internationally as a supportive therapy for managing MS‑related spasticity and associated symptoms.
Expression of Interest (EOI) - 30 Day @ Home Evaluation Program
Spasticity affects up to 80% of people with Multiple Sclerosis (pwMS) and is associated with hyperexcitability of the spinal stretch reflex. Intermitted Negative Pressure (INP) delivered through the FlowOx enhance peripheral circulation. Preliminary evidence show clinically significant reductions in self-reported spacicity, pain and sleep disturbances in pwMS after daily tretment of 1 hour with INP. The neurophysiological mechanisms underlying these beneficial effects remain unclear.
-
Home based evaluation for - 30 Days
-
Daily (1) hour of Intermitted Negative Pressure with FlowOx -40mmHg (10 sec) / 0 mmHg treatment (7 sec)
-
Weekly check‑ins and support as needed.
-
Program outcome measures (spasticity, sleep, comfort, mobility, fatigue)
-
Participant feedback at end of program (next steps planning)
-
Clinician interpretation of results.
